# AutographCOA logo kit

The official AutographCOA (ACOA) logo in every form we use, in vector (SVG) and
high-res PNG. Use these files rather than screenshotting the site header or
re-typing the wordmark in a font.

## The logo is one color

"autograph" and the "coa" box are the **same color**, and "coa" is cut out of the
box (transparent in the files). Never draw the wordmark in one color and the box in
another. On a dark background use the all-white version, not a white "autograph"
next to a blue box.

The site's button blue (`#1D63C9`, in `templates/autographcoa/preview/_showcase_styles.html`)
is a UI color, not the logo color.

## Files

`svg/` holds the masters (scale to any size). `png/` holds exports, named
`<variant>-<width>.png`, with transparent backgrounds unless the name says `-on-`.

**Never use the "coa" box on its own** (owner, 2026-10-23: "that isnt our logo").
Where the full logo is too wide, use the short mark "a[coa]".

## Where it came from

The short mark, icons and favicon are cut from the traced logo by
`scripts/brand/acoa_short_mark.py` (the "a" and the box at the logo's own
heights and gap; nothing redrawn). Run it with `--png` to re-export them.


Traced (potrace, 8× supersampled) from the original artwork in
`source/acoa-logo-original-1208.png`, with the "coa" box drawn as an exact
rectangle. Made 2026-10-06 (session_01QJhkJxkdf1nJFRbcPw5ctB). To regenerate PNGs
from the SVGs: `rsvg-convert -w <width> svg/<name>.svg -o png/<name>-<width>.png`.
